Job Description Job Description Civil Estimator Civil Estimator Position Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented Civil Estimator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive estimates for civil construction projects, including sitework, utilities, and earthwork. This role requires collaboration with project managers and engineers to ensure estimates align with project specifications and budgets. Key Responsibilities - Prepare detailed cost estimates for civil construction projects including sitework, utilities, and earthwork. - Analyze project plans and specifications to determine scope and requirements for accurate estimation. - Collaborate with project managers and engineers to gather necessary information for cost estimation. - Utilize estimation software such as HCSS and AGTEK to generate accurate estimates and reports. - Review subcontractor quotes and proposals to ensure competitive pricing and compliance with project specifications. - Monitor and update estimates as projects progress and changes occur. - Conduct site visits to assess project conditions and gather data for estimating purposes. Qualifications - Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field. - Proven experience as a Civil Estimator in the construction industry. - Strong knowledge of civil construction practices, including sitework, utilities, and earthwork. - Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail. - Strong communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with project teams. - Ability to manage multiple estimates and projects simultaneously under tight deadlines.
