Deaf Education, active DHH teaching certification, and 1 years
Teacher of the Deaf / Hard of Hearing experience required.
Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be
considered. Seeking an experienced educator to support a high
school student who is Deaf or Hard of Hearing with advanced
American Sign Language (ASL II) instruction. This contract role is
based in the Atlanta area and focuses on helping a student meet
graduation requirements through tailored ASL support. Key
Responsibilities: Provide specialized instruction in ASL II to a
single high school student. Develop individualized lesson plans
that address the student's learning needs and goals. Collaborate
remotely as necessary to align with the student's academic program.
Monitor progress and adjust teaching strategies to ensure effective
learning outcomes. Communicate regularly with the student's support
team to coordinate services and updates. Qualifications: Active
Georgia Department of Education certification in teaching Deaf or
Hard of Hearing students. Experience working with high school
students who are Deaf or Hard of Hearing; 0-10 years preferred.
Proficiency in American Sign Language at an advanced level,
including ASL II curriculum. Strong understanding of instructional
strategies for Deaf and Hard of Hearing learners. Ability to work
independently and adapt to flexible scheduling as hours are
determined. Details: Location: Atlanta, GA (center of the city)
Position Type: Contract for the current school year (March 17, 2026
May 22, 2026) Caseload: One high school student requiring ASL II
credit for graduation Hours: To be determined based on the students
