Job Description:
Job Description Job Description Master's degree in Occupational
Therapy, active Occupational Therapist license and 1 year of
Occupational Therapy experience required. Applicants who do not
meet these qualifications will not be considered. Providing
occupational therapy services within a school setting, this
contract position is based in Tullahoma, TN and requires three days
per week of primarily in-person support. The role is designed for
an occupational therapist experienced in school-based evaluations
and interventions, with the potential for increased hours if
referral volume rises. The schedule involves 7 hours per day, from
early February through a week or two before the end of the school
year. Key responsibilities include assessing students referred for
occupational therapy or sensory evaluations, as well as performing
re-evaluations as required. The therapist will provide direct
intervention services to 11 students across 4 different schools,
while also consulting on an additional 15-20 students.
Participation in Individualized Education Program (IEP) meetings
and support team discussions will be essential to ensure
comprehensive student support. Consultation services for both
students and teachers help integrate therapeutic strategies within
the classroom environment. Desired qualifications and experience:
Licensed, professional occupational therapist with experience in
school-based practice Strong skills in student evaluation and
sensory processing assessments Ability to provide consultation and
collaborate with educators and multidisciplinary teams Effective
communication skills for participation in IEP meetings and
consultation sessions Flexible and organized to manage caseloads
across multiple school sites This role offers an opportunity to
