Job Title: Parts Manager

Department: Parts

Reports To: General Manager

*Job Summary: *

Efficiently manage and direct all aspects of the Parts Department operations in an up-beat manner which ensures maximum profits for the Dealership. Coordinate activities and cooperate with other Departments of the Dealership to best serve the parts needs of the Customer. Sell Krebs Kubota parts, labor and whole goods service 100% of the time. *Promote employee and personnel safety above all*.

*Essential Duties and Responsibilities: *

*Build an organization by establishing Department policies and procedures to develop: *

- The skill and knowledge of all Parts Department personnel.

- Good attitudes and a pride in personal and Dealership appearance.

- Full utilization of the automated inventory control system.

*Develop sales and gross profits: *

- Establish realistic sales objectives by category.

- Encourage aggressive selling by all Parts Department employees.

- Merchandise and advertise effectively and within Budget.

- Establish a competitive parts pricing policy while maximizing grosses.

- Ensure Customer satisfaction by maintaining an efficient level of service.

- Attend any Company, store and community functions that will benefit the Dealership.

- Perform related or other tasks as assigned.

*Control costs: *

- Ensure the Company receives full value for time and materials purchased.

- Obtain competitive bids and purchase supplies only when necessary.

- Be alert to practices that waste supplies, utilities and time.

- Control the investment in inventory according to turn rate and level of obsolescence and the goals set annually in the Company's financial plan.

- Utilize good security measures in the areas of purchasing, shipping, receiving and facilities.

- Develop and maintain rules and practices which prevent pilferage from the inside,

- from the outside, and from embezzlement.

- Be aware of improvements that can be made in existing practices.

- Solve problems rather than living with them.

- Make maximum use of existing space.

*Develop personnel: *

- Ensure that all employees have a thorough understanding of their duties and responsibilities.

- Provide programs to ensure the productivity of each employee so that the employee's standard of living will rise because of their accomplishments.

- Have at least one person qualified to fill any specific job position including the Manager's position.

- Review employee wages on an annual basis with the General Manager.

- Develop programs to upgrade all employees capable of and desiring advancement.

- Develop interpersonal skills so as to be able to draw out, compel or show the best performance from each member of your team.

- Perform other duties as assigned by the General Manager.

*Experience and Skills: *

Education and Experience:

- Prior parts experience required

- Customer service and sale experience required

- Prior leadership experience a plus

- Personable, friendly demeanor with a solid customer service approach to internal and external customers

Technical Knowledge and Skills:

- Basic knowledge of lawncare and construction equipment

- Basic computer and typing skills

- Attention to detail

- Professional Attitude

- Basic mechanical skills/aptitude

- Ability to work varying shifts, weekends, extended hours, and holidays.

- Must maintain a valid driver's license with an insurable driving record.

- Must have basic knowledge of equipment safety procedures.

Working Conditions:

- All weather conditions.

- Must be able to lift 75 pounds.

- Standing, sitting and walking for extended periods of time.

Travel Requirements:

- Minimal travel to and from job sites.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $50,000.00 - $55,000.00 per year
