The Channel Marketing Manager develops impactful Channel Marketing programs and activities to drive growth with our Sales team, Channel partners and end-user customer. The position requires a strong Channel Marketing background and will act as a liaison to Sales, Marketing, Product Management, SIOPs, Customer Service and other teams throughout the JPW Industries organization related to Channel Marketing programs and promotions.
Reporting out of the corporate office near Nashville, Tennessee (La Vergne), this position may sit on-site or be a hybrid work arrangement.
WHAT YOU WILL DO: Critical partner. Influence. Lead business strategy.

  • Develop commercialization strategies for effective new Channel programs and promotions related to pricing, product launches, marketing campaigns, and excess and obsolete inventory.
  • While many Channel promotions are pricing based, candidates should also be adept at designing Channel programs based on solution selling and provide the Sales organization with the tools needed to clearly articulate value propositions for new products introductions, and how they will be supported with pull-through Marketing efforts for end-use customers.
  • Work with National Accounts and Buying Group Sales teams to provide support and program development to drive maximum revenue opportunities.
  • Develop product assortments and proposals for key accounts and top regional accounts.
  • Work with Finance teams to run financials on the front and backend of each effort to determine the effectiveness and provide monthly updates.
  • Develop annual Channel Marketing strategy and calendar of events which will require approval of executive management.
  • Lead Sales advisory council to solicit insight and suggestions from the Sales organization.
  • Oversee co-op advertising program management.
  • Work with Product Managers on in-store merchandising requirements.
  • Work in unison with Marketing Manager to prepare, plan for and deploy buying group and special customer events to support the Sales organization.
  • Make end user, and distributor sales calls with the representatives in the field to sell programs and products, increase the rep's knowledge of the product line and time devoted to JPW's products.
  • Grow sales and profits in territory through engagement with key distribution partners and end user customer targets. Primary regional distributor focus will be Industrial/MRO, Commercial Construction, Welding and Woodworking.
  • Forward thinking with the ability to foster origination and creativity, while also maintaining a focus on day-to-day deliverables.
  • Leverage the core values and culture to drive accountability and engagement.
  • Represent high level of ethical, intellectual, professional, and personal values that complement the team.
    WHAT YOU WILL NEED: Energy. Drive. Focus.
    • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, related field, preferred, or combination of work and education.
    • Minimum 5 years of experience in related channel marketing role with preference in industrial equipment.
    • Experience in sales/account management.
    • Salesforce CRM experience and history of engagement and adoption required.
    • SAP or related experience preferred but not required.
    • Strong verbal, time management, written communication and analytical skills required.
    • Excellent presentation skills including in-person and virtual PPT and product demos.
    • Special Skills: Strategic thinking, negotiation skills, conflict resolution skills, attention to details
    • Highly motivated self-starter, able to work in a proactive fast paced environment.
    • Excellent leadership and communication skills with a demonstrated ability to set goals, align teams and deliver strong results.
    • Demonstrate adaptability to a challenging and developing environment, and willingness to take on new responsibilities as the business evolves.
    • Travel: 10 - 15%
