Job Description:

My client, a 200+ bed hospital located in TN in the middle between Nashville and Knoxville has a need for several ER Night shift RNs to join their team. These are 12 hr night shift or Midshift positions. The ER sees about 54,000 patients/year (one of the busiest in the state). They are Chest pain accredited, and have a lab in the ER.This position is responsible for providing professional nursing care utilizing the nursing process within an assigned unit; assesses, treats and care for patients demonstrating an understanding of the cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturation process; coordinates care planning with other disciplines. These activities include day-to-day supervision and room scheduling of staff, assisting nursing director with staff development and evaluation, assisting with development of policies and procedures, performing data collection and analysis, performance improvement and coordination of supplies and equipment. Provide patient care as required and takes appropriate share of workload. Performs other duties as assigned.EDUCATION : Graduate of a school of professional nursing. Current Tennessee RN license.EXPERIENCE : Two years experience in acute care nursing required in the ER.SKILLS : BLS required at hire or during orientation, IV QualifiedThe city is located about halfway between Knoxville and Nashville, approximately 100 miles west of Knoxville, 80 miles east of Nashville, and 80 miles north of Chattanooga.
