Title: -Physical Therapy Assistant - Home Health -Position Shift: -TBD -Position Summary: --- - - - - - - - - Directs and provides therapeutic care of patients in their place of residence following a care plan developed by a PT. The PTA is responsible for treatment related to a patient's ability or disability, relieving pain, restoring motion, developing or improving functional skills, and obtaining or maintaining maximum performance within the patient's capabilities. Responsible for performing standardized testing procedures as appropriate. The home health physical therapy assistant optimizes the patient's quality of life through prescribed exercise, hands-on care and patient/caregiver education. The home health physical therapy assistant must possess clinical competence and leadership. They must be adaptable and able to work with all age groups.
