About the RoleWe are seeking a skilled and compassionate Perioperative Nurse to join our team at Southern Joint Surgery Center. As a valued member of our team, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in our ambulatory surgery center.Key Responsibilities

• Prepare patients for surgery by conducting thorough physical and psychological assessments, and ensuring that all necessary equipment and supplies are available.
• Administer pre-operative medications and intravenous therapy as prescribed, and ensure that patients meet discharge criteria.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure seamless patient care, and provide education to patients and their families on post-operative care and recovery.
• Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient outcomes and satisfaction.Requirements
  • Associate Degree in Nursing or RN Diploma or Higher degree in Nursing Required
  • 1+ years of nursing experience in a clinical setting, preferably in PACU, ICU or Surgery
  • Active RN license as required by state of employment
  • BCLS Certification upon employment
  • ACLS required within 30-days of hire
