Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate, organized, and experienced Veterinary Receptionist to join our dedicated team at Huntsville Animal Clinic. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in a veterinary or animal care setting and excel at providing outstanding client service. As the first point of contact for our clients, you will play a vital role in ensuring a positive experience for both pets and their owners. **Key Responsibilities:** - Greet clients and patients warmly, providing a friendly and professional first impression - Answer multi-line phones, schedule appointments, and manage the daily appointment calendar - Accurately enter and update client and patient records in the practice management system - Handle client check-in and check-out, including invoicing and payment processing - Communicate clearly with clients regarding appointment reminders, follow-up care, and general inquiries - Liaise between clients and veterinary staff to relay messages and ensure smooth workflow - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the reception area and client waiting room - Manage prescription refills and coordinate with veterinarians for approvals - Assist with inventory management, including ordering and stocking front desk supplies - Handle sensitive situations with empathy and discretion, especially in cases of emergencies or euthanasia - Follow all clinic protocols and confidentiality guidelines **Qualifications:** - Minimum 1-3 years of experience as a receptionist in a veterinary practice or similar animal care environment - Strong customer service and communication skills, both verbal and written - Proficient in veterinary practice management software (e.g., AVImark, Cornerstone, eVetPractice) - Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced environment - Detail-oriented and highly organized - Compassion for animals and their owners - Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends if required - High school diploma or equivalent required; additional training or certification in veterinary reception or office administration is a plus **Benefits:** - Competitive pay based on experience - Dental, and vision insurance - Paid time off and holidays - Employee pet care discounts - Opportunities for professional development and continuing education - Employment Type: Full Time Years Experience: 1 - 3 years Salary: $30,020 - $38,000 Annual Bonus/Commission: No
