• Employment Type: TravelJob Summary:Fid-- is seeking a highly motivated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our client's Progressive Care Unit (PCU). This specialized unit serves patients who require close monitoring and skilled nursing care-more intensive than a general medical-surgical unit, but not critical enough for ICU admission.As a PCU RN, you will play a critical role in the early detection of deterioration, rapid interventions, and comprehensive recovery care. Ideal candidates will bring strong clinical judgment, a commitment to excellence, and a passion for patient-centered care.Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care to adult patients with acute and complex medical conditions
  • Monitor and manage patients with moderate hemodynamic instability, cardiac drips (non-titrating), high-flow oxygen, and telemetry
  • Interpret cardiac rhythms and respond appropriately to arrhythmias or changes in patient condition
  • Collaborate with physicians, respiratory therapists, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
  • Administer medications, IV fluids, and blood products as prescribed
  • Perform wound care, respiratory treatments, and other advanced nursing interventions
  • Educate patients and families on diagnoses, treatments, medications, and discharge plans
  • Accurately document assessments, interventions, and patient responses in the electronic health record (EHR)
  • Assist with transfers to higher or lower levels of care as neededQualifications:Required:
    • Active RN license in the state of -TN
    • Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN) or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN preferred)
    • Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certifications
    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in an acute care or telemetry/step-down settingPreferred:
      • Progressive Care Certified Nurse (PCCN) or commitment to obtain within 1 year of hire
      • Proficiency in cardiac rhythm interpretation and telemetry monitoring
      • Familiarity with EMR systems (e.g., Epic)Core Competencies:

          Minimum Requirements:
          
          Current 1-2 years of current PCU RN experience
          Current Tennessee RN License
          Current BLS and ACLS Certifications
          Additional Certifications may be required
          Drivers License
          EMR Experience (Include years of experience, and systems used)
          Final RTO or any scheduling requests
          Two Supervisory References from the past two years of employment
