We are a 13 Bed unit that specializes in providing exceptional care immediately postoperatively for patients that undergo general surgery, ortho-spine surgery, total joint and other orthopedic surgeries, urology procedures, vascular surgery, gynecologic surgery, podiatric surgery, endoscopy procedures, non-open-heart cardiac catheterization procedures, TEE and Cardioversion procedures, and interventional radiological procedures. Job Summary and Qualifications As a Registered Nurse on this unit, some of the services you will provide are as follows: Monitoring and care of the post anesthesia patient Postoperative pain and nausea control Surgical site monitoring Compression therapy device removal post heart catheterization Keeping families informed through the postoperative care process What qualifications you will need: Advanced Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date PALS Pediatric Adv Life Supt must be obtained within 6 months of employment start date Current TN RN Licensure or current compact state licensure Bachelors Degree, or Associate Degree, or Masters Degree 1 year of ICU, ER, or PACU experience required.
