Job Description:
Job Description Responsibilities: - Perform comprehensive
pre-anesthesia assessments, including patient interviews and chart
reviews. - Develop and implement individualized anesthesia care
plans tailored to patient needs and procedural requirements. -
Administer general, regional, local, and monitored anesthesia care
(MAC) for surgical, diagnostic, and therapeutic procedures. -
Monitor patients throughout the perioperative period, adjusting
anesthetic plans as necessary based on clinical changes. - Manage
emergency airway situations and provide resuscitative measures when
required. - Provide postoperative anesthesia care, including pain
management and monitoring for adverse reactions or complications. -
Document all aspects of anesthesia care accurately and thoroughly
in the electronic health record (EHR). - Collaborate with
anesthesiologists, surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare providers
to ensure optimal patient outcomes. - Maintain compliance with
state and federal regulations, as well as institutional policies.
Requirements: - Graduate of an accredited nurse anesthesia program
(Master’s or Doctorate in Nurse Anesthesia). - Current and
unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) and Advanced Practice Registered
Nurse (APRN) licensure in North Carolina. - National certification
from the NBCRNA (Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetist). - Current
BLS and ACLS certification; PALS preferred. - Minimum of 1–2 years
of CRNA experience preferred, but new graduates may be considered
depending on the practice setting. Practice Setting: - Advanced
Practice - Outpatient, inpatient - Patients per shift: 5 - Beds in
Department: 8 - Types of surgery expected: Complete Ortho, OB,
Pediatric - General Anesthesia, Adult, Pediatric experience
required
