Job Description Position Overview The Department of Neonatology part of Monroe Carell Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt (MCJCHV), is seeking a Board-Eligible/Board-Certified Pediatric Hospitalist/Newborn Medicine Pediatrician to support Cookeville Regional Medical Center, an affiliate hospital with Vanderbilt University Medical Center. We are looking for a highly skilled clinician with a focus on hospital medicine and a special interest in delivery rooms and newborn care. Key Responsibilities - Provide hospital medicine and newborn care at Cookeville Regional Medical Center as a Vanderbilt employee - Participate in delivery room procedures and newborn care - Engage in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and clinical operations - Perform Circumcisions, UVC Placements, and Intubations using LMA Qualifications - Board-Eligible or Board-Certified in Pediatric Hospital Medicine or Pediatrics - Clinical focus on hospital medicine with training in delivery rooms and newborn care. - Ability to perform circumcisions, UVC placements, intubations using LMA - NRP certified Why Cookeville, Tennessee? The division plays a vital role in both inpatient and outpatient pediatric care, while also contributing to medical education, research, and community advocacy. Led by a multidisciplinary team of physicians, psychologists, and nurse practitioners, the division strives to ensure every child receives the best possible care in a supportive and family-centered environment.
