A specialized Registered Nurse (RN) opportunity is available to support complex surgical cases in a premier hospital setting located in Madison, WI. This contract role focuses on delivering exceptional perioperative care within a multidisciplinary team environment, managing intricate procedures in ENT, ophthalmology, and plastics. Ideal candidates will have strong acute care experience and be adept at coordinating operatory activities to ensure efficient case progression and turnover. Responsibilities: Collaborate with surgical teams to plan and manage patient care in the operating room. Coordinate and facilitate smooth surgical case flow and room turnover. Deliver safe, competent, and efficient perioperative nursing care tailored to patient complexity. Adapt to floating assignments as needed across units within the organization. Maintain compliance with facility policies, procedures, and standards. Qualifications & Experience: Minimum two years of acute care nursing experience within the last three years. Active Wisconsin nursing license or a compact license from your permanent state. Current BLS and ACLS certification through the American Heart Association. Advanced perioperative knowledge in ENT (e.g., radical neck dissection, facial repairs), ophthalmic surgery (e.g., vitrectomy, open globe repair), and plastics (e.g., DIEP flap, abdominoplasty). Familiarity with surgical equipment including Constellation, Stryker Navigation, and microscopes such as Pentero and Leica. Schedule: Day shifts, 12-hour duration (06:40 - 19:10), Monday through Friday. Weekday and weekend call responsibilities; potential holiday call as needed.
