TriStar Southern Hills Medical Center, a renowned healthcare provider in Nashville, TN specializing in emergency care, cardiology, orthopedics, and rehabilitation, is seeking a dedicated Operating Room Nurse Residency. This role is designed for recent nursing graduates or nurses transitioning into the perioperative field, providing structured guidance and training to excel in surgical care environments. Residents will gain hands-on experience, working alongside seasoned professionals to deliver compassionate and high-quality care to patients undergoing surgery. This position encompasses both direct patient care and participation in educational workshops to develop specialized surgical nursing skills. Assist in surgical operations under the supervision of experienced surgeons and nurses. Prepare operating rooms for surgery, ensuring all necessary equipment is available and sterile. Monitor patient’s vital signs and maintain detailed records during surgical procedures. Participate in pre- and post-operative patient care, including briefing patients on procedures and assisting in recovery. Engage in ongoing professional development through workshops, seminars, and hands-on training.
