Ascension Saint Thomas is a 40- bed inpatient acute rehabilitation
hospital that has been offering exceptional care to the Nashville

A speech-language pathologist who excels in this role: Requires
critical thinking skills, decisive judgment and the ability to work
with minimal supervision. Must be able to work in a stressful
environment and take appropriate action. Performs and documents
initial and ongoing assessments of patient's condition. Designs and
implements a plan of care which is appropriate to problems
identified and involves the patient and family. Educates and
counsels patients and families regarding treatment plans and
progress. Plans and/or assists with patient discharge from therapy
services. Supervises activities of clinical fellows, students, and

should have a current state board of speech-language pathology &
audiology certification. Additional requirements include:
Education: Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology Required
Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 60 days of hire
