Job Description:
TriStar Centennial Medical Center, a premier healthcare facility
in Nashville, Tennessee, is seeking a dedicated and compassionate
PICU Nurse to join our Pediatric Intensive Care Unit. The PICU
Nurse will be instrumental in providing high-quality care to
critically ill or injured children, following established nursing
protocols and working closely with a multidisciplinary team to
monitor the patients’ conditions, administer treatments, and
support family members through their children’s recovery processes.
Evaluate and monitor the patient’s progress and respond to medical
emergencies as they arise. Administer medications, maintain IV
lines, and observe vital signs. Collaborate with pediatricians and
other medical professionals to implement comprehensive patient care
plans. Provide education and support to patients' families,
explaining conditions and treatments. Ensure that all healthcare
regulations and safety standards are met. Keep detailed and
accurate patient records. Excellent patient management skills and
empathy. Strong teamwork and multi-tasking abilities. Proficient in
using medical software and administering patient care technologies.
Exceptional decision-making and problem-solving skills. Medical
Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k
Current Registered Nurse (RN) license. Pediatric Advanced Life
Support (PALS) certification. Certified Pediatric Nurse (CPN)
preferred.
