How you’ll make an impact in this role Ensure a sterile and safe surgical environment by expertly preparing operating suites with necessary drapes, solutions, and specialized instrumentation for each procedure. Act as a vital partner to the surgical team by anticipating needs and providing the correct instruments and supplies with precision during active surgery. Support patient safety and procedural efficiency by assisting with the careful transportation, positioning, and draping of patients prior to surgery. Maintain rigorous clinical standards by organizing surgical tools and performing meticulous instrument counts to ensure the highest level of accuracy throughout the operative process. What minimum requirements you’ll need Licensure / Certification / Registration: BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date required. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted. Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date required. Per Tennessee Code (TCA) 68-57-101(a), non-certified applicants must have 18 months of surgical technologist experience in the 3 years preceding 5/21/07; or began the appropriate surgical technologist training prior to 5/21/07 and completed by 5/21/10. Education: High School diploma equivalency with 2 years of cumulative experience OR Associate's degree/Technical degree OR 4 years of applicable cumulative job specific experience required. What additional preferences we're seeking Must have previous CV experience.
