Job Description:
Ascension is seeking dedicated and compassionate registered
nurses to join our faith-based healthcare organization in the
Medical/Surgical Unit. At Ascension, we believe in transforming

our nursing team, you will play a crucial role in supporting our
mission to provide holistic, personalized health services to our
communities across our extensive network of hospitals and clinics.
Provide direct nursing care in accordance with established
policies, procedures, and protocols of the healthcare organization.
Perform comprehensive patient assessments and collaborate with a
multidisciplinary team to plan and evaluate patient care.
Administer medications accurately, observing patient response, as
prescribed by the patient's Physician. Document patient care
services by charting in patient and department records. Educate
patients and families on illness, wellness, and preventive
healthcare. Demonstrate proficiency in the use of medical equipment
and perform technical nursing skills with a high level of accuracy.
Participate in departmental, hospital, and community health care
initiatives and committees as appropriate. Strong clinical skills
with a proficiency in medical/surgical care Excellent communication
and interpersonal skills Ability to work effectively in a
fast-paced and often stressful environment Detail-oriented with
strong observational skills Commitment to ethical practice and
confidentiality requirements Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance 401k Current Registered Nurse (RN)
license in the state of employment Basic Life Support (BLS)
certified by the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification is advantageous
but not required
