Histology Technologist - Discipline: Allied Health Professional -
Start Date: 04/06/2026 - Duration: 26 weeks - 40 hours per week -
Shift: 10 hours, nights - Employment Type: Local Contract Position:
Histotechnologist III Speciality: Embedding, Microtomy Duration: 06
Months of Contract to FTE Location: Nashville, TN Required Skills:
• Embedding experience. • Microtomy experience • ASCP or HT Cert
Preferred. Summary: • The main function of a Histotechnologist is
to perform complex medical laboratory tests for the diagnosis,
treatment and prevention of disease. Job Responsibilities: •
Analyze laboratory findings to check the accuracy of the results. •
May analyse samples of biological material for chemical content or
reaction. • Cultivate, isolate, and assist in identifying microbial
organisms, and perform various tests on these microorganisms. •
Conduct clinical trials of pharmaceuticals. • Operate, calibrate
and maintain equipment used in quantitative and qualitative
analysis, such as spectrophotometers, calorimeters, flame
photometers, and computer-controlled analyzers. Skills: • Verbal
and written communication skills, attention to detail, and problem
solving skills. • Ability to work independently and manage one
time. • Knowledge of the information and techniques needed to
diagnose and treat human injuries and diseases. • Knowledge of Good
Clinical Practice (international quality standard for human
clinical trials) and local regulations. • Ability to analyze data
and accurately document and record results. Education/Experience: •
Bachelor’s Degree required. • Over 5 years of embedding and
