Job Profile Summary: Major responsibilities include ensuring guests are satisfied with hotel cleanliness, responding to guest needs, ensuring safety and security of guest rooms, maintaining inventory and cost controls, and managing a motivated and skilled team together with the housekeeping manager. Ensure outstanding guest satisfaction and product quality in accordance with Platinum Management Services, LLC. and Brand standards. Maintain professionalism at all times. Displays exemplary performance for staff to follow. Possess technical knowledge and aptitude. Essential Responsibilities and Duties: include the following - Other Duties May Be Assigned:

  • Adhere to Platinum Management Services, LLC. and Brand specific standards.
  • Comply with all applicable federal, state and local laws and ordinances as they apply to the property, guests and associates.
  • Adhere to safety and emergency procedures and policies (i.e. evacuation, first aid, etc.) to include removing all safety hazards.
  • Promote the property through goodwill, courtesy and a positive attitude.
  • Maintains current knowledge of local area, attractions and events.
  • Professional appearance and grooming must be adhered to at all times. Uniforms must be worn according to Company and Brand standards.
  • Assist in preparation of department work schedules to efficiently handle business volume.
  • Maintain effective key control including issuance of keys to department personnel.
  • Monitor departmental personnel hours worked to prevent overtime.
  • A portion of the workday will be spent working inspecting guest rooms, public areas and back of the house areas.
  • Assign duties, inspect work, and investigate complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment and take corrective action.
  • Clean Rooms to stay refreshed on processes.
  • Clean rooms and train new staff members.
  • Be proficient in front desk/ guest service/housekeeping operations.
  • Re view and follow procedures to report property equipment, furnishing and supplies in need of repair.
  • Review and follow procedures on Brand and Company Energy Conservation Program.
  • Assist in regular inventory count and processes.
  • Be proficient in all housekeeping and guest service operations.
  • Communicate and report any deficiencies in guest rooms, out of order equipment etc. to management.
  • Perform routine inventory counts and place department orders.
  • Maintain Company and Brand quality assurance (QA) standards.
  • Work with housekeeping manager in controlling payroll and department expenses within guidelines.
  • Ensure compliance with accident/loss preventive programs.
  • Log items into the Lost and Found and answer inquiries from guests to meet overall lost & found satisfaction.
  • Assist the staff in the performance of duties to include cleaning of lobby, trash removal and laundry.
  • Work closely with management to ensure that the communication among all departments is frequent and clear.
  • Prioritize and resolve escalated customer concerns and complaints.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Keep company business including but not limited to, financials, personnel, guest and customer data strictly confidential. Qualifications & Requirements:
  • Professional appearance and grooming must be adhered to at all times.
  • Uniforms must be worn according to Company and Brand standards.
  • Excellent verbal and communication skills required.
  • Proficient in English. Bi-lingual a plus.
  • Ability to compile facts and figures.
  • Ability to meet and maintain budget.
  • Ability to attend and complete required Company and Brand training.
  • Adaptable and willing to assist other departments in time of need.
  • Must be a Self-starter with effective leadership skills.
  • Proficient with current technologies and software inclusive of business applications.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule.
  • Be organized and work well in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Stand and/or walk for an extended period of time.
  • Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place object weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance. Reach overhead and below the knees, including bending, twisting, pulling and stooping.
  • Have an outgoing personality.
  • Maintain professionalism at all times.
  • Must have 6 mo. or more Supervisor/ Manager experience.
