Role SummaryThe Human Resources Business Partner is responsible for
the planning, design, implementation, communication, and
administration of Human Resources for 250+ employees, while working
cohesively with other area Human Resource Business Partners
supporting Scotty's Contracting and Stone's 700+ employees. This
position reports to the Director of Human Resources and will have
the support of Regional HR Coordinators. Key Responsibilities
- Responsible for the leading the planning, execution, and
administration of talent management systems, processes, and
programs such as performance management, succession planning,
talent review, employee engagement, and recognition
- Builds trusting and meaningful relationships with each of our
employees, supporting everyone's growth potential and maximizing
their utilization of company benefits in efforts to enrich their
family's health and total wellbeing
- Stays abreast of best practices and trends; Drives continuous
improvement using a combination of process discipline, creativity,
and innovation to enhance the employee and manager experience
- Oversees talent review and succession processes that identify
business opportunities/challenges and ensure the company is
building capabilities for the future
- Works with a variety of external partners and internal
stakeholders - HR Business Partners, supervisors, managers, and
executives to provide talent management process and systems
coordination, engaging programs and applications
- Consults with internal and external clients regarding the best
way to create and implement a solution or display information
through all consulting phases (analysis, design, and
implementation); Builds and delivers informational presentations
and training regarding processes and programs
- Works across the People team to jointly organize and manage
talent programs and events as needed; periodically provides
coaching and development planning support to leaders
- Interfaces with Executive Committee members as needed on
execution of talent reviews, assessments and coaching, and other
talent management, talent review, and succession planning
activities
- Prepare and present talent updates for relevant leadership and
oversight groups
- Identifies weak or non-existent processes, analyzes
organizational impact, and takes action to build or strengthen
them
- Tracks, analyzes, and provides reports to measure the
effectiveness of performance and talent strategies; Links
measurement tools to strategic objectives and uses them to assess
progress against goals
- Manages large-scale change management in areas of performance
management, talent review, succession planning, employee
engagement, recognition, etc.

abilities
- Must deal appropriately with highly sensitive and confidential
talent and succession information
- Ability to travel in a company provided vehicle to a quarry,
asphalt plant, regional office, shop, or paving crew once a week to
service and build strong working relationships with field employees
assigned to work areas within 90 miles of Bowling Green.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in human resources or related field, plus
seven years of work experience supporting similar key position
responsibilities
- In lieu of the above requirements, relevant experience will be
considered
- Preference given to PHR, CP, SPHR, and/or SCP
certifications
- Relevant experience developing and integrating Performance
Management, Talent Review, Succession Planning, Employee Engagement
and Recognition Programs
- Proficiency with BambooHR or similar HR information
systems
- Possess a valid drivers license and safe driving record. If you
