POSITION SUMMARY:

Supports customer requirements and material efficiency by utilizing CNC programming to tool and nest sheet metal parts on turrets, lasers and punch equipment.

Interpret engineering blueprints to draw (program) flat pattern layouts of parts
Make proper machine and tooling selections to manufacture parts in the most efficient manner.
Request procurement of tools necessary
Prepare detailed standardized work instructions and set-up sheets
Utilize software to continuously improve run time and programming time
Contributes to product planning in areas of expertise.
Supports Sales, Manufacturing and Customers as needed
Communicate with and support management in a timely manner
Ensures Matthews quality policies and procedures are followed

MARGINAL FUNCTIONS:

While the following tasks are necessary for the work of the department, they are not an essential part of the purpose of this position and may also be performed by other department members.

Performs all other duties, as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent
Working knowledge of AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or other similar software
2+ years' experience in similar field
Strong math skills
Detailed oriented with ability to multi-task
Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

Requires ability to frequently talk and hear
Requires ability to sit frequently up to 7.0 hours per day
Stand and walk occasionally up to 1.5 hours per day
Stoop, bend and reach occasionally up to1.5 hours per day
Lift/carry items ranging from 0 lb - 25 lbs occasionally up to 1.5 hours per day
Requires long periods of viewing a computer screen
Requires close vision, distance vision and depth perception
