UniFirst Corporation, a leader in providing workplace uniforms and protective workwear across North America and Europe, is seeking a dedicated Route Relief Driver to join our dynamic Transportation & Logistics team. In this role, you will be a key player in ensuring the timely and accurate delivery of our products and services to our diverse client base, providing critical coverage for absent route drivers and exceptional service to our customers. Cover routes in the absence of regular route drivers to ensure uninterrupted service to our customers. Deliver uniforms, floor mats, and other facility service products to a variety of businesses. Maintain and build positive customer relationships, handle customer inquiries, and resolve service issues. Manage invoicing and inventory for assigned route, ensuring accuracy in orders and billing. Adhere to all safety protocols while driving and delivering, maintaining a safe work environment. Inspect and maintain the delivery vehicle, reporting any malfunctions or needed repairs. Participate in team meetings and trainings, providing feedback to improve service efficiency. Strong driving skills and familiarity with delivery procedures and protocols. Excellent customer service and communication skills. Ability to navigate various delivery routes and adapt to new routes quickly. Basic computing and mobile technology skills for managing inventory and delivery data. Physical ability to lift and move heavy items and stand for extended periods.
