Job Description:

As a Route Support Specialist at UniFirst Corporation, you will play a crucial role in ensuring efficient and effective delivery and management of our uniform rental and facility services. You will support our logistics and transportation teams by coordinating and optimizing delivery routes, ensuring timely and accurate service to our valued clients across the United States, Europe, and Canada. The ideal candidate will possess strong organizational skills, an ability for strategic route planning, and a commitment to excellent customer service. Assist in the management and scheduling of daily delivery routes. Collaborate with drivers and logistics staff to optimize route plans. Monitor and report on transportation costs and performance metrics. Provide logistical support and solutions during unexpected delays or issues. Maintain accurate records of vehicle maintenance and delivery documentation. Ensure compliance with safety standards and regulatory requirements. Assist in the training and development of new transportation staff. Strong proficiency in GPS and route management software Excellent organizational and time management skills Ability to work effectively under pressure and meet tight deadlines Strong communication and interpersonal skills Problem-solving capabilities Flexibility to adapt to changing schedules and routes Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Life Insurance 401k Certification in Logistics Management (e.g., CLM) is preferred. Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
