About Our Client: Addison Group is partnering with one of our clients to hire an experienced Dispatcher. Our client operates in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and is specifically seeking a confident, decisive dispatcher who can run the board, direct drivers, and take ownership during high-pressure situations. Job Description: This Dispatcher role is focused on true dispatch leadership rather than call taking. The ideal candidate is someone with command presence who can manage volume, make real-time decisions, and maintain control during peak activity. This role requires comfort managing chaos, prioritizing calls, and keeping drivers moving efficiently. Key Responsibilities: Independently manage the dispatch board in a high-volume environment. Assign and direct drivers based on priority, location, and availability. Make confident, real-time decisions during high-pressure situations. Maintain clear, assertive communication with drivers while remaining professional. Monitor active calls and continuously adjust assignments as conditions change. Serve as the central coordination point between drivers, internal teams, and external partners. Maintain operational control without unnecessary escalation. Qualifications: Prior experience as a dispatcher in towing, transportation, logistics, or a similar high-volume environment. Demonstrated ability to run a dispatch board rather than solely take inbound calls. Strong communication skills with the ability to be assertive with tact. Proven ability to stay calm, decisive, and organized under pressure. Comfortable managing multiple priorities and making judgment calls independently. Additional Details: Full-time, on-site position.
