AIM Clinics provides all of the necessary training to start your career as a Behavior Technician, as well as opportunities to grow with us through professional development. Our training program will provide all the tools you need to be successful as you learn to apply behavior analytical techniques and become a Registered Behavior Technician (RBT).

What You Will Do:

Our ideal candidate is someone who is excited to learn and is passionate not only about helping our kids learn, but also making each day of therapy a fun and positive one. Whether that is themed dress up days, seasonal arts & crafts or getting energy out on our trampolines - our team is dedicated to creating a positive environment for our kids.

  • Work 1:1 with children and young adults with autism under the direct supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) by applying evidence-based behavior analytical techniques that increase communication, self-help and social and play skills
  • Follow treatment plans prescribed by BCBAs while communicating new, relevant information back to BCBAs in a timely manner to help refine plans
  • Keep clients motivated by tailoring activities/techniques to their preferences
  • Respond intentionally to challenging behavior by helping clients de-escalate and prompting appropriate skills
  • Maintain accurate records of client performance/progress via data collection and clinical notes, while adhering to privacy and other requirements
  • Partner with senior technicians and BCBAs to build relationships with families by providing effective, relatable information
  • Prepare/create materials for upcoming sessions
  • Support other technicians as needed
  • Help with initiatives outside clinical role as requested
  • Support growth efforts by sharing job postings and participating in community outreach events
  • Toilet training and diaper changing may be required

What You Have:

  • A willingness to work with children diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder and/or other special needs
  • Patience, positivity, resilience
  • Ability to deliver service in a manner that is fun, engaging, child-centered, mindful, and authentic
  • Ability to productively react to direction in real time
  • Ability to adapt approach based on a client's needs and profile
  • Ability to communicate effectively with a variety of stakeholder types (clients, parents, BCBAs, etc.)
  • Drive to learn and grow as a Behavior Technician
  • Willingness to ask questions and seek guidance as needed
  • Ability to move freely, quickly and frequently from a sitting (on the floor or in a chair) to standing position and to lift up to 25 lbs. routinely
  • Working knowledge of computer technology: Windows operating systems, iOS, Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, email

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Availability Monday - Friday 8:00am - 6:30pm with an employer commitment of 30 scheduled direct service hours per week.
  • 18 years of age
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Must have reliable transportation to clinic and/or client homes
  • Must be able to pass a criminal background check and drug screening
