Trauma Services Specialty Team Leader
Hours will be determined based on trauma
volume and perceived peak schedule times. Either 0630-1500 M-F or
1430-2300 M-F. Leadership call requirement per department need.
Level 2 Trauma Experience Required, Level 1
Trauma Experience Preferred.
CNOR Certification Required.
What You Will Do:
Lead daily operations of surgical suites in
support of surgical procedures.
What You Will Need:
- Lead and coordinate shift operations including schedules and
- Prepare surgical operating suite with sterile and non-sterile
instruments and supplies.
- Assist surgeons during surgery, providing required and
requested instruments and supplies to surgeon and assisting with
- Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning and draping
- Maintain instruments in an organized manner and monitor and
track instruments counts throughout procedures.
- Perform staff orientation, training, and coaching. Provide
input to staff performance evaluations.
Licensure / Certification /
BLS Provider credentialed from the American
Heart Association (AHA) obtained prior to hire date or
job transfer date required.
One or more of the following required:
- Licensed Registered Nurse credentialed from the Tennessee Board
of Nursing or current home state
license for multi-state license recognition "Compact State"
obtained prior to hire date or job
- Certified First Surgical Assistant obtained prior to hire date
or job transfer date.Associates who
hired/transferred before 04/30/2018 are not required to hold
certification. The following Issuing
Authorities are acceptable: NBSTSA, ABSA, and NCCSA.
- Surgical Tech credentialed from the National Board of Surgical
Technology and Surgical Assisting
(NBSTSA) obtained prior to hire date or job transfer date.
Central Service Tech credentialed from the
International Association of Healthcare Central Service
Material Management (IAHCSMM) preferred.
- High school diploma/GED with 2 years of experience, or
Associate's degree, or Technical degree
- 1 year of experience required.
No additional preferences.
