Job DescriptionThis is a position in a Retail Automobile Dealership with tremendous upside potential. Previous lot attendants have progressed to sales, service advisor and accounting positions. • The service porter is a Customer Service representative and must greet all customers, welcoming them to the service department and asking if they need help.
• Valet all vehicles to their assigned parking area, which will include inside and around the service department and shop, to the Body Shop or to the Sales department.
• Responsible for customer vehicle keys, keeping said keys in a secured location, assigned location or handed to the owner at vehicle delivery.
• Retrieve vehicle information, including vehicle VIN, current miles, and tag number.
• Use Automated Car Wash, including but not limited to customers', company and loaner units.
• Clean service drive, customer lounge, service department, exterior walkways and entrances. this also included snow removable, debris. trash and overall general cleanup/
• Emptying trash in assigned areas or other areas as directed by immediate supervisor.
• Check vehicles' alignment, lights and wipers using approved company alignment machines while in service drive
• Clean bathrooms occasionally, cleanup spills in customer areas.
• Inspect vehicles at end of shift for open windows, and areas around department for debris.
• Transport vehicles to other repair facilities or pickup and bring back to dealership.
• Performs other duties as assigned.Qualifications:
  • Must be able to drive small and large vehicles

  • Must have a valid driver's license with a good record
  • Must be able to pass a background check and drug screen - prior to employment
