Position SummaryA Caris Healthcare Chaplain provides support the hospice interdisciplinary team through office functions.     • Completes and documents ongoing spiritual assessments, interventions, and outcomes related to patient and family
    • Communicates significant spiritual needs of the patient and family to the hospice interdisciplinary team related to terminal illness, impending loss, and bereavement.
    • Conducts visits with patients and caregivers in their residential setting.
    • Connects patients and caregivers with community clergy and/or spiritual leaders as needed to meet diverse spiritual needs
    • Assists with bereavement support and interventions for caregivers following the death of a patient
    • Participates in an on-call rotation to make after hours visits when needed for a patient's death, funeral, admission, spiritual crisis, etc.


      • Master of Divinity Degree required
      • One unit of Clinical Pastoral Education is preferred
      • Prefer one (1) year experience in Hospice or related field
      • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
