Job Description:
Meaningful Work From Day One Responsible for material and
finished package quality from receipt through shipment. Support
Processing, Bottling, Receiving, and Shipping as main contact for
quality issues. Shift - Initially 2nd Shift (3:30PM - 11:30PM) and
then primarily day shift. **What You Can Expect** Responsible for
monitoring quality and adherence to specification of packaging
materials and finished goods. Provide guidance and direction to
bottling employees inspecting finished goods for quality issues.
Conducts packaging material approvals on incoming materials.
Monitors finished package quality and conducts package audits as
needed. Collect data, perform statistical analysis, and report
trends related to materials and finished goods. Initiates and/or
manages corrective and preventive actions as required to improve
package quality. Review quality data related to materials and
finished goods and alert QC Technical Packaging Manager and QC
Manager of discrepancies. Collect accurate information for
instances where a material discrepancy must be issued and relay
appropriate information to QC Technical Packaging Manager for
vendor contact. Assists Bottling Operations personnel and Bottling
Maintenance in resolving process and operational issues as they
relate to product quality. Assumes duties of all QC Specialists
during absences to ensure that there is no disruption in delivery
of QC services to the plant. Ensure appropriate quality procedures
are being followed and all documentation is filled out properly.
Ability to work other shifts, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Food Safety and Quality Responsibilities General Support: Engage in
food safety and quality culture through support and participation
of SQF activities Provides resources for continuous improvement of
Food Safety and Quality system Performs as backup for any Food
Safety or Quality role as listed on Food Safety and Quality Control
Org Chart **We Are Looking For People** Who have a Bachelor's
degree in STEM field AND 2-5 years experience in manufacturing,
packaging engineering, and/or quality. Demonstrated ability to
apply comprehensive knowledge of quality control tools to assist in
troubleshooting and correcting quality issues as they arise.
Understanding of Statistical Process Control and application to a
manufacturing environment. Strong computer skills including Word
and Excel. Demonstrated communication skills-ability to clearly
communicate technical issues to all levels of employees.
Interpersonal skills with ability to work as a team with JD
production departments. **What You Can Add To The Team** Experience
in the food and beverage industry. Experience working with bottling
manufacturing equipment Professional certifications related to
quality control and quality systems. Knowledge of SAP software for
inventory control and quality management. Knowledge of BATF
regulations as they apply to distilled spirits. Brown-Forman
