Job Description:

The Senior IT Data Analyst applies healthcare expertise, technical and analytic skills to extract and interpret across multiple integrated systems, documents report specifications, and produce analyses. Responsible for creating, maintaining, updating and publishing reports for the Jiva system, and recommends enhancements to reporting models, and the data warehouse to maximize self-service capabilities for end users.
Serves as the data expert for Jiva data, including canned system reports and maintains an inventory of Jiva reports.
Responsible for educating IT and the Business on Jiva data
Actively participates on Jiva governance workgroups and provides input regarding Jiva data.
Defines and produces complex ad hoc data requests
Produces analyses based on operational data to support process reengineering projects.
Collaborates with Business Systems Analysts and/or directly with key business users to ensure business requirements and report specifications are documented accurately and completely.
Partners with the business areas to understand complex issues and analyzes and presents data in a meaningful way for decision making. Writes reporting specifications for Jiva standard reports and reports produced outside of Jiva.
Collaborates with Business Intelligence team to support reports that use Jiva data combined with other enterprise systems data
Responsible for analysis on reporting impacts, and remediation of reports due to Jiva configuration changes
Works with Business System Analysts and IT Project Managers to support requests for data on projects.
Responsible for supporting corporate initiatives/projects that require health plan data.
Follows established SDLC, change control, release management and incident management processes.
Applies business knowledge to recommend enhancements to reporting models and the data warehouse
Leads sessions with business areas to understand their reporting needs, provide recommendations for potential revisions to existing reports or scope out new reports when required. JOB REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, or the equivalent combination of training and experience, plus 5 years related experience.
Master's Degree preferred EXPERIENCE:
8+ years experience Microsoft SQL
5+ years of related managed healthcare or insurance operations experience
Previous experience working with relational databases
8+ years of experience in data analysis.
Experience with ZeOmega care management system (Jiva)
Experience with Facets system KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to interact within all levels of the organization.
A strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products.
Demonstrated ability to successfully plan, organize and manage projects.
Detail oriented, excellent proof reading and editing skills.

Ability to exercise independent judgment and make sound business decisions effectively.
Working knowledge of healthcare industry
