JOB DESCRIPTIONPurpose: This Specification defines the job description of Materials Analyst at Adient Murfreesboro, TN facility, as per the direction of the Employee Hiring Procedure.Scope:This work instruction applies to the Murfreesboro, TN location of the Automotive Experience (AE) of Adient.Process:Provides maintenance and communication of material requirements planning and Kanban parts ordering with the supplier base to ensure smooth production conditions at managed cost.Responsibilities:Analysis of customers' daily requirements.Responsible for communication and coordination of parts requirements to the supply base to support customer demand.Assist in coordination and analysis of material in support of inventory build-outs and start-ups of new programs.Cross-training in all production control functions for replacement as needed.Maintenance of all material receipts in helping to maintain an accurate perpetual inventory reporting system.Advise and assist staff (Operations, Production, Production Control, and Purchasing) by periodic analysis and reporting of expedited shipments, supplier rating systems, and monthly inventory levels.Maintenance of Kanban calculation reporting based on customer demands.Assist in the decision-making process for critical material shortages.Responsible for parts ordering of all replacement requirementsUtilize methods for continuous improvement.All additional duties as assigned.Must be willing to report unsafe conditions, report unsafe acts, participate in safety/ergo committees, participate in safety Kaizen events, participate in blue sky initiatives, participate in safety audits, and participate in safety observation feedback events. Assist the plant in achieving safety goals and achieving and maintaining AMS objectives.Participate in communications events such as plant-wide meetings, line meetings, department meetings, and training exercises. Will follow and promote environmental management system compliance and commitment to resource conservation.Qualifications Requirements:Education and Experience:College 2 years or equivalent in a related field, two years Production Control with material coordination emphasis.Reports to: Materials ManagerThe job description outlined above is not intended to be a detailed list of job functions or responsibilities.
