Job Description:
Batesville is looking for a Supply Chain Manager to join our
team in Manchester, TN. As a Supply Chain Manager you will be
responsible for daily communication with Logistics, Operations,
Materials, and Purchasing, develop, communicate and manage the
process for the daily production schedule for assembly and
sub-assembly processes to achieve 100% on time delivery.

What you'll do:
--- Monitor and manage daily inventories of raw materials, WIP, and
finished goods to ensure availability to meet production needs.
--- Manage and maintain appropriate inventory levels for various
materials and participate in physical inventories.
--- Ensure compliance with all plant policies and procedures to
achieve plant/department goals for Safety, 5S, Quality, Cost, and
Productivity.
--- Develop department budgets and manage to ensure 100% delivery
on time at or below budgeted cost.
--- Manage staff for shipping, receiving, and scheduling
departments. Establish work schedules and optimize labor costs
incurred to support these functions. Provide leadership and
guidance associated with efficient and effective internal
controls.
--- Develop, communicate and implement key controls, processes and
operating procedures, which support the efficient and effective
shipping and receiving of materials.
--- Communicate effectively with Corporate Logistics, Operations,
Quality Control and Material Control and provide adequate measures
of overall departmental performance.
--- Develop and manage all material functions and track and report
performance measures such as fill rate, schedule compliance,
inventory status, etc. and take corrective actions as needed to
ensure attainment of performance goals.
--- Participate in team problem solving activities and process
improvement activities (CI Events, Kaizen, ongoing Lean initiatives
etc.)
--- Establish and maintain 5S standards in the all reporting
department work areas.
--- Directly supervises employees. Carries out supervisory
responsibilities in accordance to the Company policies, the Code of
Ethical Business Conduct and applicable laws.
--- Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring and training
employees; planning, assigning and directing work; appraising
performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing
complaints and resolving problems.
--- Other duties may be assigned
Travel
--- Less than 10% of the time
Basic Requirements:
--- Minimum 5 years' experience in related materials leadership
within a manufacturing environment
--- Bachelor's degree in Operations, Supply Chain Management, or
related field; or equivalent combination of education and
experience
--- Must have experience with computerized ERP, MRP, MPS, JIT
systems; pull systems, PFEP development, and inventory
management.
--- The ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing
at all levels within the organization is required
Great to Haves:
--- A Working knowledge of Lean manufacturing and CI processes
--- AIPICS Certification would be a plus.
--- Strong skills with Microsoft Office suite of products, JDE
experience is a plus.
